Overview
The BeatStep Pro showcases 16 drum sequencer pads and two other independent sequencers, with 64 steps per sequence.
It's both a sequencer and controller that syncs with any computer via USB.
Other connections include MIDI In/Out CV/GATE, drum gate, and clock sync connectivity - great for those who prefer working with external hardware, such as analog synthesizers.
This is a good controller for live performers and those who work in studios, especially for those who want a versatile controller that works both with computers and other external hardware.

How can I connect this Arturia BeatStep Pro Controller & Sequencer to studio speakers without going through an interface?

Hi Chris thanks for the question. Being a controller without its own sounds, you would need a sound source like a hardware synthesizer of some kind or a computer.
Use either the MIDI, USB (the BeatStep Pro is powered via USB), or CV/Gate to sequence and control that unit that produces sound. Finally, connect the audio out of the sound source to your studio speakers.
An audio interface is usually recommended when using a computer to avoid latency issues and to bypass the less than ideal 3.5mm audio outs that computers usually have (if any at all!).
