The GK004B is Albatross' take on the iconic Les Paul, following after the popular single-cutaway shape, two humbucker pickups, and four knob configuration.

The included guitar body is crafted from mahogany, and it comes with standard features that include flamed maple veneer top for added aesthetic appeal. The neck is crafted from mahogany and topped by a fretted rosewood fingerboard complete with trapezoid pearloid inlays. Neck specifications are expected to follow traditional builds, as well as the electronics. Speaking of electronics, this kit comes with two chrome covered humbuckers, four knobs, pickup switch selector and the wiring needed.

This kit received a lot of favorable reviews from beginners and experienced builders alike, commending it for the quality of the parts, especially the quality of the wood used. Some users even reported that the bundled pickup sounded good enough considering the price, but many did notice big improvements after swapping them out.

To get the guitar looking and feeling good, some users opted to sand and seal the body and back of the neck.
