Overview
Bugera made it possible to own a feature packed 55W tube amp in the sub $500 price range with the V55 Infinium.
This two channel amp features a multi-gain preamp stage with three 12AX7 tubes, while a pair of 6V6 tubes drive the output. And it doesn’t end with just tubes, because this amp comes with essential gigging features that include having two independent channels, a complement of EQ knobs, a switchable reverb and a boost switch for even more gain.
Bugera also equipped the V55 with a Pentode/Triode Mode switch that essentially lets you reduce the output power to half for driving the amp at lower volume levels.
Thanks to its bigger 12″ speaker, the lower frequencies are more defined, which is quite impressive for the price.
Finally, the tubes are protected by Bugera’s Infinium technology, which helps prolong tube life and features tube life monitoring via small LED lights at the back.
