DigiTech already enjoys a good reputation as a guitar effects builder, but they're not only good at that, as evidenced by the success of the various vocal effects that they've released. The Vocalist Live FX makes this list with its impressive sounding reverb, compression and effects, thanks to the company's collaboration with dbx and Lexicon. Many of the reviewers were surprised by the level of quality that this pedal provided, exceeding what they expected from a compact and affordable unit.

The most notable feature of this pedal is its great sounding Gold channel mic preamp, which when paired with Lexicon approved reverb result in a truly improved vocal sound. The compression effect and feedback suppression were also raved about by many reviewers, and it's impressive considering how these people came from different musical styles, a testament to the Vocalist Live FX' versatility. There were some who had feedback issues, but since they were isolated, it could either be a bad unit or a mistake on the PA side. It would've been nice if the price was cheaper, but the DigiTech Vocalist Live FX is still well worth the price.
