The Avalanche Run V2 appeared on our recommended list for Delay Reverb Combo Pedals from June 2020 until September 2022 when it was out-ranked by the EarthQuaker Devices Dispatch Master V3 and Boss RE-202.
Overview
The EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run V2 offers three significant improvements over the previous Avalanche Run version, which also ranked high enough to be included in our past recommendations.
The first major difference is the wider enclosure, which can be good or bad depending on your pedalboard real estate.
The next one pertains to an improvement with its stereo output.
The final improvement has to do with its footswitch, which can now be held down for momentary use of the effect.
Everything else follows after the original, including the control set, tone and graphic.
