The GLS Audio ES-58 appeared on our recommended list for Microphones Under $50 from October 2019 until September 2021.

Overview

The GLS Audio ES-58 is based on the popular SM58 vocal microphone.

While it leaves a lot to speculation, several reviews and user tests indicate that their similarities run more than skin deep.

Nevertheless, the ES-58 comes in at a lower price point than the legendary Shure SM58.

The GLS Audio ES-58 is good news for those with budget constraints. While it may not be hot on the heels of the Shure SM58, it has a sound of its own and at this price, it is hard to beat.
