As the name implies, the Gretsch Catalina Maple 7-pc set features 7-ply maple shells with 30-degree bearing edges, each of which are fitted with Remo drum heads.
This results in a distinctly Gretsch drum sound – described as punchy and vibrant. The set comes with Gretsch’ low-profile GTS tom suspension system, that allow you to setup the drums to lower positions.
