Meta Analysis Overview

Our rating of 89/100 is based on analysis of 950+ sources comprised of online reviews and discussions. Under the Pros and Cons headings below you'll find a condensed analysis of what those owners and users have been saying. Feel free to ask questions or add your thoughts in the comments section.

GTD Audio gets good ratings, not because they're the highest quality, but because they offer good value for money and those who are budget conscious rate this double mic package very highly.

The G-622H wireless system exemplifies this, a 2 mic UHF wireless system with 100 selectable frequencies per channel.

It has an operation range of up to 450 feet, which is more than enough for what wireless mics are generally used for.

While you can manually select the frequency to operate in, the G-622H also comes with automatic frequency scanning and setup - for quick and easy setups.

Feature Overview

  • Mic frequency response: 45Hz to 18kHz
  • Receiver frequency: UHF 550MHz - 580MHz
  • Range: Up to 450 feet / 150 meters
  • Two XLR individual outputs and one 1/4" TRS Mixed output
  • 100 selectable frequencies on each channel
  • Individual volume control on each channel
  • Rack mountable in a standard 19" rack

One of the most common positive comments about the GTD Audio 622H system is that the mics, although enclosed in solid plastic rather than metal, have a good weight and feel to them. Most users are satisfied with the overall quality and performance of the GT Audio G-622H, especially when considering the price. Mobile DJs and event singers were happy with the sound quality as were those using it in fixed installations such as houses of worship.

The most commonly reported negative is that the second mic has problems with dropouts after a while, although the manufacturer will replace them under warranty.

This is very much an entry-level system, and some report moving up to more expensive options after using it for some time, still it's hard to beat the extremely low price.

Although this was previously on our recommended list, there are now more highly rated options available which you can see in our guide to The Best Wireless Microphone Systems.
