Overview
Korg is well known for stage and portable keyboards, and they have a considerable presence in the digital piano market.
Before it was discontinued, the SP170s was one of our recommendations, thanks to its focus on what really matters – authentic piano playing feel and sound.
The keys are fully weighted like a traditional piano, where the higher note keys are lighter and gets heavier as you go lower.
The ability to switch touch sensitivity lets you adjust the response of the keys to your liking, for a more personalized feel.
For adding realism and texture to the sound, the SP170 has reverb and chorus effects built-in.
Teachers and students appreciate the two headphone outputs, and these can also be used to connect the unit to an amplifier or a PA system for live performance.
