The Para DI has maintained a place on our recommended list ever since we first published it in May 2016. During that time the only acoustic preamp that achieved a higher rating was the Fire-Eye Red-Eye Twin back in September 2017, but that only lasted until December 2018. The only preamp to out-rank it since was the JHS Clover in September 2022.

You said above that nothing out ranked this since September 2017, but there is no high note listed for 2019 so is this a mistake?
I said that no other preamp rated higher than the Para DI since December 2018.
The reason you don’t see an entry for 2019 is because we didn’t publish a new Edition of The Best Acoustic Preamp Pedal Guide during that year.
