The Rivera Sedona Light is an unusual tube amp that works for both electric and acoustic-electric guitars.
It accomplishes this by using genuine tubes in both the preamp and poweramp sections, and by making the tweeter switchable.
It is rated at 55 watts with a 12" Celestion G12T-75 speaker, and has an Electro-Voice dome tweeter.
Channel 1 is designed for acoustic-electric guitars, with EQ controls for tone shaping and a 1" dome tweeter to handle the extra high frequencies of acoustic instruments.
It also comes with a built-in ES (Taylor's Expression System) option for better pairing with Taylor acoustic guitars.
It also comes with anti-feedback knobs that lets you adjust the frequency and level of control.
Channel 2 works like a clean tube amp, designed to handle electric guitars along with pedals, and that channel also has built-in reverb and EQ controls.
We've seen reports from both Martin and Taylor players who say that the acoustic channel is quite good.
The Rivera Sedona Lite Split Grill version first appeared on our recommended list for The Best Acoustic Guitar Amps in January 2019 where it remained until July 2020. It reappeared on the list in June 2021 and then came off again in May 2022 when it was out-ranked by other acoustic amps.
