RockJam Xfinity Double-X Keyboard Stand

One of the nice things about the RockJam Xfinity is that it comes pre-assembled straight out of the box, just set it to the height you want and you're good to go.

Like all double X style stands, this is not a good option if you want to play sitting down because your knees will be constantly bumping into the cross bars.

The way the adjustment mechanism works is that it lets you adjust it to any height rather than just set positions, and with the width going down to less than 7" in its highest postions you'll be able to put any sized keyboard from 25 keys and up on it.

Specifications:

  • Load capacity: 45 lbs
  • Height: Adjustable from 4" to 38"
  • Width: Adjustable from 6.7" to 38.5"
  • Depth: 14"
  • Construction: Metal tubing
  • Weight: 8.38 lbs

Pros

The ease with wich people were able to set this stand up straight out of the box garnered many positive comments. Solid, stable and reliable are three terms that came up consistently. The securing straps were also quite well received by people with a range of keyboard sizes

Cons

Many people have complained that their knees hit the crossbars but as mentioned before, this is the wrong type of stand to use sitting down. There were some legitimate concerns about the strength of the plastic adjustment mechanism with some people saying it failed on them with less than a year's use.

Overall

All that said, the positive reviews outnumber the negative ones at a rate of about 8.5 to 1 so it's not all that bad.

Although it is a reasonable stand it's hard to find in shops these days so for alternatives see our guide to The Best Keyboard Stands.
