The TH-02 first appeared on our recommended list for Studio Headphones Under $50 from May 2017 until July 2018 when it had been out-ranked by other sets of headphones.

Then in January 2021 it had high enough ratings to go back on the list where it remained until January 2022.

Overview

The TASCAM TH-02 is an affordable but surprisingly good set of closed back headphones.

Featuring a foldable design, padded and stitched headband and a custom engineered driver and chamber, TASCAM spent over a year integrating tech and components that could compete with more expensive headphones.

These are a reasonable affordable pick for tracking and monitoring.
