Note: We used to recommend the TC Helicon Harmony Singer in our gear guides but it is no longer readily available new so we've made our analysis available for those of you who manage to find a new one or are looking to buy it second hand. For a list of our current recommendations please read: The Best Vocal Effects Pedal / Processor Guide.

The Harmony Singer is a compact harmony pedal that is highly rated . It is similar to the Harmony-G XT, but stripped down of extra features in favor of portability. It carries the same smart harmony effect that follows after guitar chord changes, but in a smaller foot print that is easier to carry and setup. It is simply the practical choice for singing guitarists who are looking to add harmonies without having to audition actual singers or carry bulky equipment.

Key Features:

  • Harmony: Smart Guitar-Controlled Harmony Algorithm
  • Harmony Voices: Up to 2
  • Pitch Correction: None
  • Effects: Reverb (Room, Hall, Club), Adaptive Tone (Smart EQ, De-essing and Compression)
  • Phantom Power: None
  • Guitar Effects: None
  • Inputs: 1 x XLR, 1 x 1/4"
  • Outputs: 1 x XLR, 1 x 1/4" (Thru)
  • USB Port: For Firmware Updates and Preset Backups
  • Power: DC Power Supply or 9V Battery or Phantom Power

Reading through the reviews, you will find users describing the Harmony Singer with words like "wow" and "amazing". Many users praise the quality of its harmonies, and the overall sound. It would've been nice if it had more effects to offer but that would defeat its straightforward plug-and-play appeal. Get this if you're not interested in extras and are just looking for smart harmonies in a compact pedal.
