Overview
Note: The following listing is for the H4N Pro Black, which supercedes the now-discontinued H4N Pro. The "Black" in the model name refers to an entirely new version, not just a color update.
Like its predecessor, the H4N Pro, the H4N Pro Black lets you record both the stereo input from the built-in mics plus 2 additional inputs via XLR/TRS Combo jacks.
The difference in this new version is an updated preamp with a lower noise floor than its predecessor, an incremental improvement that improves usability for quieter ambient recordings.
The mics can be used in A/B position and X/Y position for flexibility with different sound sources.
With the additional inputs, 4 tracks (1 stereo track + 2 inputs) can be recorded, suitable for performance recordings. You can also use the unit as an audio interface.
The H4n Pro Black also has onboard effects like reverb, compression and limiting.
