Best keyboard stand

This product is built with some quality materials. Will surely last for years. Easy to assemble as well.

Excellent quality keyboard stand

This was exactly what I was looking for as I simplified my rig based around the circuit Tracks which I recently got. I eliminated half my rack synths(4) and a keyboard midi controller. Note I cut it down to exactly half the original width.

AWESOME BUT READ THIS!!!

Amazing stand fits 19 synthesizers! Well sort of, I was looking for a solution in my studio and already had one of the KS7903 stands and started by adding a few tiers (available here on Sweetwater as well) but then realized that it was cheaper to buy three stands and combine the parts (think of these stands as a modular building set). In addition I turned down some aluminum bar stock and tapped holes to add casters so I can move the entire unit. The end result is exactly what I was looking for. So there are 16 synthesizers on the front and three in reserve on the back side. Add some LED light bars and INSTANT AWESOMENESS!!!
So top row
Novation Bass Station 2
Behringer Deep Mind
Second Row
Roland Boutique-JP-08-JU-06A,JX-08,JD-08
Third row-Roland JV-90 with Vintage Synth Expansion Board also used as a midi controller for the boutiques
Forth Row-Behringer Poly D and Odyssey
Fifth Row-
Roland Boutique SH-01, SE-01, Dreadbox Typhon and Waldorf Blofeld
6th Row Arturia Keylab 88 (driving the above units)
bottom
Casio CT-S1000V
M-Audio Venom
Not shown on back
Roland RS-5
Roland D-20
Roland Juno-2
Midi Solutions T-08x2

All synths are running through 4 x Behringer Eurorack Pro RX1602V2 mixers feeding into a Tascam Model 24 going into a Macbook running Logic Pro X.

The only negative thing I can say is that I agree with another review here-this thing is better suited for studio use-It is very sturdy (as you can see here) but I do not believe it is designed to be constantly broken down and reassembled and would NOT recommend it for gigging unless you have a van and can keep it assembled.

Works well (just make sure you setup it up correctly)

I purchased this despite some bad reviews i saw about it with tipping over and threads stripping.. (Will Address this later)

Overall, i feel it is a fine stand. I am not using this for gigging. It is simply just being put up and left up. The keyboards i am putting on this stand are about 20 lbs max (per tier) and they hold just fine. I purchased this originally to hold my poly synths, WaveState and OPSix (When in)

If you are looking at holding a 76 key keyboard and it fits the width, then great! Just make sure it is under the 40lb limit (which most are).

The place you want to make sure you pay close attention to is assembly and setting it up. This has many adjustments from weight centering (angle between main legs), Tier angle and keyboard tier height. Making sure they are matching on both sides and from the ground is critical. Once everything is setup make sure you have them snuggled down (does not have to be super tight). There are locks that keep the angle in.

About past reviews:
Onstage must have improved this stand, because the past reviews stated the plastic strips, i didn't see any bolts in plastic on mine. The Screws look to be threaded into metal threads or nuts inside a hex cutout. Overall they get pretty tight and hold very well. The issue with tipping forward when bumped, i think it has to do more with adjusting the counterpoint of the stand with certain keyboards. OR Maybe placing them on the middle tier. Mine seems solid and doesn't want to fall forward or back when i bump it (Did it purposely and it stayed up just fine)

Word to the wise:
This is not the stand for you if you are looking at taking it apart and traveling with it as it would require setup every time you put it back together. However, if you are just using it for a studio and going to leave it up it holds quite well and i would definitely recommend it. Mine has been solid and has been up for about 2 weeks with NO issues WHATSOEVER.

My Recommendations:
The bars for holding the keyboards for each tier DO NOT have rubber pads on them, so depending on your keyboard this can be metal up against metal. They do have 1/16" 3M Adhesive pads that can be cut and put on the bar and this helps. I did this to mine and it worked like a charm!
The round screw in stops towards the bottom of the arms can be backed out enough to hold the keyboard in steeper angels (this woo is an adjustment) My photos will show the keyboard stand in use and also a close up of the pads i used. I would highly recommend the rubber padding to protect the bottom side of your gear. I don't like my gear scratched up. Setup wise it can be done by one person, but i found it to be WAY easier having two people (Myself and someone else).

Transporting:
Once you have the stand built and dialed in, it is super lite to move. i can lift this with a single index finger or pinky (Yes, it is really that lite!)

It looks a bit "old school" but the On-Stage Stands 3-Tier A-Frame Keyboard Stand KS7903 holds a lot of gear and is adjustable to fit most situations. I highly recommend it.
