Woah :o

I'm one of those obnoxious people that never leaves reviews unless it's because I didn't like the product, service, etc. I was motivated in this case to do so not just because I very much like the product but because I thought the feedback might help someone else. Specifically, another relative noobie like me. I've been playing for about 8 months now and can play a handful of my favorite songs, but I'm still in that phase where certain chord changes/progressions I've done 1000 times now still trip me up on occasion because clumsy fingers are fun lol - anyways, I've been wanting to try some elixirs (can't help but hear the hype lol) but thought these might end up being too light for my liking. Decided to give them a try anyways after ordering and am so glad I did. Immediately noticed a different in my ability to cleanly play chords and the strings in general are just so, for lack of a better term, strummable. It feels like there's less bite on the strings as I'm strumming and it's just all around made my guitar more fun to play. Not noticing any big differences in tone or sound while playing fingerstyle songs either, which I guess I was supposed to be worried about based on some people's feedback on the coated strings? IDK - if you're still a beginner trying to learn, highly rec you give these a try!

10’s are better!

I play only Elixir 11's Polyweb. Just love those strings. Thought I would try the 10's for once. Oh my goodness what a huge difference. Play a lot of blues and standards. The strings do warm and so easy to bend or chord. My 11's last for months if not played everyday so interested in seeing how these hold up. I will tell you that these strings give you a much warmed sound than even the 11's.

Best strings ever!

I was a little hesitant on buying these strings because of the expense. After I put them on my guitar and strummed the first chord I was hooked. I was very impressed by the warmth plus the brightness of the strings. Being that they were extra light, but have a fullness to them that other strings didn't. The polyweb coating makes sliding down the fretboard easy without that noise it usually makes when sliding chords. I'm also impressed by how long the strings stay alive. Easy on my fingers for longer playing time without getting tired. I have since bought 3 more sets and will continue to buy them as long as I have acoustic guitars. Thanks elixir for making the perfect set of strings.

I use polyweb Elixers on all my guitars, long lasting and sound great. Do yourself a favor GET THEM

My favorite acoustic strings

These strings are fantastic. I've also used Polyweb on my electric guitar for a few years, but my favorites are Nanoweb and D'addarrio NYXL, as I prefer a bit brighter and crunchier tone for electric. As far as acoustic tone, these Polywebs do not have a "dull" tone that I sometimes associate with "warm" as the sound description. They have more of a warm resonance, creating a nice depth. I actually prefer the very slick coating which makes playability a breeze. String talk is greatly reduced, as is unwanted overtones and noise. These also last the longest out of all of the acoustic strings I've used. For me, this is perfect because I may only play acoustic a few hours a month and the tone is consistent for months on end. The only downside is there may be a bit of flaking along the string where it is picked. But, it appears that they may have tweaked the formula over the years because the flaking is far less apparent. In summation, if you like smooth feeling acoustic strings that keep a consistent, warm tone, give these a try.
