Get that Bright '67 Strat Pickup Sound - with Hum-free Performance!

The DiMarzio Area '67 humbucking electric guitar pickup gives you the brightness and clarity of mid-'60s Strat pickups, without the hum. Bright without being harsh, the Area '67 lends itself very well to neck and middle position use - though it also works very well in the bridge position. This pickup's reduced string pull gives you the added benefit of a better adjustment range, so you can put it closer to the strings for stronger output without fear of compromising your guitar's sustain or intonation. If you want a great-sounding pickup voiced for the era of a certain left-handed Strat-slinger, you won't go wrong with the Area '67!

DiMarzio Area '67 Humbucking Electric Guitar Pickup Features:
  • Color: White
  • Type: Humbucker
  • Wiring: 4-conductor
  • Magnet: Alnico 2
  • Output: 120
  • DC resistance: 5.86
  • Tone guide: Treble - 9.5; Mid - 4; Bass - 3
The DiMarzio Area '67 gives you classic mid-'60s Strat tone and hum-free performance!

DiMarzio guitar pickups give you the tone and output you need to get the most out of your guitar. Dozens of guitar legends have used DiMarzio pickups in their prized instruments, from Joe Satriani and Steve Vai to David Gilmour and Eric Johnson, Jerry Garcia to John Petrucci - the list goes on and on. Ever since the introduction of the Super Distortion humbucker in the early 1970s, players have relied on DiMarzio for a range of replacement pickups that suit their needs best. Take your axe to the next level with DiMarzio!

Paired this Area 67 with the Area 58... excellent upgrade.

I have a Godin Progression Plus guitar I bought several years ago that I felt need an upgrade in pickups, what with the stock pickups being from Godin and made in Korea (not bad, just not killing it). I bought this DiMarzio Area 67 for the middle position and the Area 58 for the neck (Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck Jr, humbucker already in the bridge). The difference is amazing. This pickup has great tone and is very responsive to pick attack. A great upgrade that I doubt I'll be swapping out. The 58 and 67 sound exceptional with switch in second position. No looking back.

Excellent Strat Pickup

I've had Area 67s in the neck and middle positions of my Strat for about 6 months now, and I enjoy them so much I decided to put a review on here. These pickups are just very sweet and musical. They sound like Strat pickups without any hum, and they are great for the majority of styles one could play using a Strat style guitar. They have excellent clean tone and they handle all kinds of gain extremely well. No clarity is lost in my neck or middle position when I'm using a lot of distortion. They are very adjustable too, as the Alnico 2 magnets allow me to bring them very close to the strings if I want to. I've used many different Strat pickups, and I don't classify products into better and worse categories, but these are all around great pickup replacements that measure up to most others. Whether you prefer traditional single coil or noiseless designs, these pickups are worth your time and money.

Best strat single-coil replacement pup for neck and mid position

I thought the stock pups in my MIM Strat HSS were decently usable, I was blown away when I upgraded the bridge pup with a DiMarzio PAF Pro. My Sweetwater tech recommended the Area 67. I was blown away by how quiet and powerful these pups are. I was shocked at the bell like quality the pups have. No one can tell they are stacked coils! These pups are awesome!

Great product!

I think this pickup is outstanding. Honestly, you might not have the EXACT sound of 67 pickup but given the fact that it has no hum and given the clarity and sound that you would expect from a middle single coil, i would said this pickup is amazing. Just as good as any other custom made pickup

Great sounding noiseless pickup

I need noiseless pickups because I play at a place now and then with strong florescent light noise. The others that I've tried are kind of dull sounding. These manage to retain enough of the single coil sparkle to make you glad you're playing a strat. I like the 58-67-61 combination.
Music background: Played guitar 5 years, blues, rock, something like jazz
