Pick an Affordable Blues Legend!

The Epiphone EL-00 Pro Acoustic-electric Guitar is descended from the legendary L-00 of the 1930s and '40s. Whether you think of it as a "parlor guitar" or a "blues box," the easy-playin' EL-00 Pro is perfect for recording and acoustic jams. In the studio, aim a small-diaphragm condenser mic at the 12th fret and you're gold. The diminutive size and svelte waist deliver a focused sound that sits great in your track, while its generous lower bout serves up surprisingly zoftig bottom. And with its classic Vintage Sunburst finish and onboard Fishmman electronics, you'll positively adore the Epiphone EL-00 Pro!

Epiphone EL-00 Pro Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:

  • Iconic Vintage Sunburst finish
  • Mahogany back and sides; solid spruce top
  • 24.75" scale length; SlimTaper D-profile mahogany set neck
  • 12"-radius Indian laurel fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays

A GREAT GUITAR IN MANY WAYS

The Epiphone EL-OO is beautiful! It sounds great, it's easy to play, and it's smaller than a dreadnaught. I first got the Epiphone IBG J45 Slash version because I lusted after the black and gold sunburst on the Gibson J45 for half of my life. They sure look the same and sound almost the same. I got Epiphone fever when I heard JP Cormier describe the new Epiphones to be as good or better than the Gibsons. He added that they are affordable. Suddenly I could get my dream guitar, sort of. As I found out, Epiphone is no longer Epiphone; it is back to Super Epiphone which it was before Gibson bought it and made Epiphones next door. But for noodling around and watching youtube and especially for taking guitar lessons online, I needed something smaller than a dreadnaught like the Epi J45. So I returned it and got this L-OO. It has the same sunburst as the J45 and other things I need -- like light weight. It seems like half the weight of the all-solid-wood Epi J45 Slash. The L-OO also has smaller hip-width and smaller depth so I can play it while sitting in my Lazyboy chair watching online lessons. With my Epi J45, I had to struggle to get my right arm around it while sitting and with its hip resting on the big, fat arms of my big, fat chair. The L-OO is smaller than a dreadnaught, and sometimes called a "parlor" guitar, but it's not as small as many parlor guitars. So I bought the really small Ibanez PN1 (only $) to go with my L-OO beauty. The Ibanez PN-1 has no electronics, so that's why I'm adding the slightly larger Alvarez AP66ESHB parlor, which is heavenly to play and heavenly to gaze upon. I can afford these now because the all-solid-wood Epi J45 Slash I returned is almost twice the price of the combined L-OO and Alvarez AP66. I will miss the soft-shoulders of the J45, but the L-OO is worth the swap. Thanks to my friend Paul Eckert for his help all these years. Sweetwater dreams, bay-beh.

Epiphone L-00 Studio Acoustic-Electric Guitar-Vintage Sunburst

So I ordered this Epiphone acoustic-electric guitar after narrowing down my top 2 choices and I have to say so far I really like this guitar. I love the vintage sunburst finish, the easy play neck, the smaller size and of course the Epiphone name. It also sounds really good plugged in directly to my PA system. I did have 1 issue though with the original guitar, new out of the box it was missing 1 of the dot inlays so I called Sweetwater the following morning and talked to James Fuller in customer service and he sent me out a new replacement guitar and a return shipment label to return defective one. This whole process was resolved in 3 days so a call out goes to James for his excellent customer service. Thank you.

Great guitar/Excellent Value

Definitely recommend this Epiphone L-00 guitar! What a cool guitar and a great value, too. It is extremely well-made and has that vintage look. I love the tone it produces (I upgraded to a bone nut and saddle - Sweetwater did a perfect job with that).

My very first acoustic guitar was an Epiphone way back in college. I had that baby for over 30 years and never had an issue with it. So I am happy to be reacquainted with an Epi. Playing this really takes me back.

Another shout out to my Sales Engineer, Joe Holsclaw. And also to Carson, the tech who did the upgrade.
Excellent job. Thank you.

I ordered this and waited five months for it to arrive. Well worth it. A great guitar, especially for the price.

Five star's for outstanding customer service!

This guitar plays great the e fell off the pick guard already but could easily be super glued on and not an issue but should result in 4 stars the reason it got 5 stars is the follow up call by Christian my sales rep to make sure i was happy with the guitar and because of that type of service i choose Sweetwater over its competition. I have been playing guitar and other instruments over 45 years and this guitar is well worth the money and there is no way its getting returned over the e that should not be there anyway.
