Innovative Strings Since 1680

When you go with D’Addario, you receive far more than a great set of strings. You’re benefiting from three centuries of string-making experience. The D’Addario family tradition began in 1680 in the tiny town of Salle, Italy, where they made assorted instrument strings for over 200 years before relocating to New York in 1905. Since then, the D’Addario family has become a leader in string innovation. They designed the modern winding machine, introduced ultra-reliable hexagonal core wires, and pioneered the colored-coded ball end movement. More than 300 years since the family started making strings, D’Addario continues to set a global standard for quality and reliability. And every day, more than 500,000 strings emerge from their USA-based workshops.

Baritone Owners Read This

I have a Taylor Baritone 6 that is a nice instrument but I've tried just about every brand of strings available to get a good, resonate sound. In that regard, most brands have not done a good job. I tried EJ18 Heavy Gauge strings on the same baritone, tuned to C instead of B, and they work great. The sound is remarkably better and the strings play well. And they are $ less a set than the low tension, parabolic strings I have been using.

Superb Strings

These are just wonderful strings. Great tone and longevity. Best of the best. Excellent in every respect on acoustic guitar, and at a mere fraction of the cost of many other brands.

Enjoyable for drop tuning, loud for standard

I have a 12 string dreadnaut i never play anymore and used to sit in its case without any strings. found myself playing lots of downtunings and alternate tunings so i wanted some beefier bottom strings, I liked them so much i decided i'd put a whole set on the twelve string and tune to d standard. sounds fantastic and the body seems to like them. It's got a nice loud boomy sound that's realy fun for me.

Typical

I never use Dario if I can help it since they all feel old and brittle, and these are no different. They came out of the pack feeling like someone had already been playing on them for 2 or 3 weeks...... hard.
In this case however, not the worst thing. I got them to go on my roundneck res. Which at the moment I am using for slide in vestapol flat. They give it a real ease of slide on a rough and tumble sound I can't get out of strings that aren't played in. I wouldn't put strings this big on an acoustic anyway but if I did I wouldn't use these ones. Butnfor this specific need. It's iyeet.
Music background: 20 years on acoustic guitar. Fingerstyle. Country blues, jazz, songwriter.
