D’Addario: innovative strings since 1680

When you go with D’Addario, you receive far more than a great set of strings. You’re benefiting from three centuries of string-making experience. The D’Addario family tradition began in 1680 in the tiny town of Salle, Italy, where they made assorted instrument strings for over 200 years before relocating to New York in 1905. Since then, the D’Addario family has become a leader in string innovation. They designed the modern winding machine, introduced ultra-reliable hexagonal core wires, and pioneered the colored-coded ball end movement. More than 300 years since the family started making strings, D’Addario continues to set a global standard for quality and reliability. And every day, more than 500,000 strings emerge from their USA-based workshops.

My favorite strings!

I've tried lots and lots of different strings over the years in various gauges. I used to be mostly an acoustic player. When I'd play electric, I always thought the strings felt off because they were so light. Slowly i gauged up from 9's to 10's to 11's and finally settled on these because they most closely mirrored the acoustic set i was playing with the exception of that unwound g.
I play in standard tuning on a strat mostly and have had minimal issues with breaking strings and truss rod adjustments. I did need 5 springs for the bridge though.

String breaker? Get this

I used to break a string almost every show, now I don't. I jumped from 10-52 it took a bit to get used to but now I'll never look back. Good stuff and half the price of the NYXL.

Perfect for D Tuning

I use these on my Squire Affinity Telecaster so I could tune down to D.
A guitar tech in my area fined tuned the nut and setup.
It works perfect. Strings are firm and not flapping around.

Perfect for rhythm

Threw these on my Tele and LP for rhythm playing in my band. I'm heavy handed used to playing .013s on my acoustic so these stay in tune, won't go sharp regardless of how hard I press, sustain very well and hold up over multiple gigs nicely. Tougher to bend if you're a shredder but for rhythm they are perfect for me. My go tos.
