Four Entrancing Echos of Unfathomable Depth
Walrus Audio’s Fathom multifunction reverb pedal plunges your tone down to the deepest depths of ethereal echo, providing you with four distinctive reverb algorithms to explore. From standard Hall and Plate settings to moody Lo-Fi and “Sonar” reverberations, Fathom delivers an ocean of sonic versatility. What’s more, each of Fathom’s four modes offers a program-specific parameter via the “X” knob, ranging from pre-delay adjustment to flexible filter width. You also get a 3-position switch to mix in your desired level of modulation and movement to the reverb trail. Once your tone is locked in, Fathom reveals two of its most powerful features: A dedicated Sustain switch that keeps the reverb decay rolling and a Momentary splash of reverb accessible with a quick press of the Bypass switch. Whether you’re an ambient aficionado or simply seeking a do-it-all reverb with a touch of quirky character, Walrus Audio’s Fathom marks a sea change in the world of stompbox echo.

A quartet of flexible reverb programs
Designed first and foremost for versatility, Fathom supplies you with four distinctive reverb algorithms to explore. Further, Fathom’s mysterious “X” control dramatically changes function depending on your selected algorithm.
- Hall: Simply a classic hall reverb, offering a vast, open-sounding character and a slight high-frequency roll-off to the decay. In this mode, the X knob dictates the amount of pre-delay in your signal.
- Plate: This setting delivers the lush, smooth, and utterly old-school sound of a plate reverb unit. Just like in Hall mode, Plate’s X control determines pre-delay.
- Lo-fi: Fans of more experimental reverb sounds will be thrilled with Fathom’s Lo-fi reverb setting, a filtered reverb tone with dynamic decay ranging from an ultra-thin rasp to a warmer, more full-range echo. Turn the X knob in Lo-fi mode to adjust the filter’s width.
- Sonar: Finally, Sonar provides a reverb with both a high and low octave effect for a touch of celestial ambience. Blend between both octaves using the “X” knob in Sonar mode.
Walrus Audio pedals: built by sound-tweakers for sound-tweakers
The artists, musicians, and engineers at Walrus Audio take pleasure in chasing sounds that inspire, like the perfect breakup of an overdrive, a beautifully thick distortion, an endlessly sustaining reverb, and a self-oscillating delay. Simply put, these guys love to play with sound. They design stompboxes that re-create the sonic textures that they hear in their heads. Built by sound-tweakers for sound-tweakers, Walrus Audio's guitar pedals are as versatile as they are functional. At Sweetwater, we’ve found that Walrus Audio’s pedals are the perfect tools for guitarists who want to sculpt their own unique sounds.
