Big Sonic Versatility and a Great Value

Loaded with a Broad'Tron humbucker in the bridge position, and a P-90 soapbar single-coil pickup at the neck, the Gretsch G2215-P90 Streamliner Junior Jet Club barks with an aggressive midrange and tight, powerful lows. Cleans are clear and chiming — crank up your amp's gain, or kick on a boost pedal, and you're ready to unleash pure rock fury with definitive Gretsch character. And with the G2215-P90's Thin U neck profile, 12-inch fretboard radius, and medium-jumbo frets, it offers the precise playability modern players expect. Complete with a compensated wrap-around bridge for maximum sustain and tuning stability, there's a lot to love about the value-packed Gretsch G2215-P90 Streamliner Junior Jet Club solidbody electric guitar.

A neck designed for effortless playability

Gretsch necks are loved the world over for their exceptional craftsmanship and playability. The G2215-P90's bolt-on, Thin U neck is firmly in the wheelhouse of this legendary reputation. The smooth laurel fretboard features 22 medium jumbo nickel frets that make both chording and lead playing easy on the fingers. Finally, the compensated wrap-around bridge enhances sustain and note definition while offering eminent tuning stability.

These pickups deliver!

If you want classic '50s-era Gretsch tone, the Broad'Tron humbucker in the G2215-P90's bridge position won't let you down. This humbucker generates that traditional Gretsch growl and grit, and delivers pristine clean tone when desired. It's a fantastic match for the P-90 soapbar pickup in the neck position, beloved by players at Sweetwater for its combination of single-coil clarity and humbucker-like girth.

G2215-P90 Streamliner Junior Jet Club Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:

  • Solidbody electric with fine Gretsch appointments and design
  • Lightweight, resonant nato body perfect for long nights onstage
  • Nato neck with laurel fretboard offers smooth playability and response
  • Compensated wrap-around bridge enhances sustain
  • Broad'Tron humbucker at the bridge and P-90 soapbar at the neck offer a vast sonic range to explore
  • Laurel fretboard with 22 medium jumbo nickel frets makes both chording and lead playing easy on the fingers

Great guitar with some mods

I work on guitars and like to tinker, so I put a new Seymour Duncan vintage P90 and the Seymour Duncan pearly gates in the bridge. New cts pots and new wiring with a Switchcraft switch. Also added a Graphtech wraparound intonatable bridge. And also added Grover locking tuners.

I did not like the pickups that were in it. The humbucker was very thin sounding. The P90 wasn't bad, but I prefer the Seymour Duncan. Without the mods, it would be a three star.

Once again beyond satisfied

Happy Holidays Everyone. I think my sales engineer Austin Zackrich was a bit surprised when I wanted to treat myself to another guitar for Christmas, but he was ready to deliver with his no nonsense approach to get me playing a guitar I like and is in my budget. I am a Les Paul guy, but wanted to go off the grid a bit. This Gretch is it. The sound and tone cannot be described. If you accept something other than Sweetwater, than you are accepting an imitation for great service. God Bless Austin and Sweetwater

Great little guitar!

Very nice guitar, low price but high quality!

Great value - Fantastic after one upgrade

This was my first electric guitar, and I love playing it. The only downside was that the humbucker was noticeably thin and weak compared to the P90--even to my novice ears. My local guitar tech swapped it out for a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates zebra. The difference is amazing and well worth the extra bucks.

A VERY Cool Gretch Sounding Guitar for Peanuts

I have another older Gretsch with this body style which has humbuckers in it, and aside from one issue which I'll get into in a minute it's great guitar. Sadly, my guitar collection FAR outweighs my playing skills, but if you'll be up for a beginner's input I'll give you an honest opinion. If you've got a decent tube amp this thing sparkles like Roy Orbison's sunglasses. It has those vintage tones that were there on so many old records, and you won't have to run it through a bunch of pedals and digital crap to find them either. Great sound for this price range.

But one con I have to note is the intonation problems you get with these solid wrap around tailpieces. My older Gretsch Electromatic had the same type until recently when I replaced it with a better adjustable one. These solid bar wrap arounds are common on lower priced guitars. I think LP Jr's use them, as well as a lot of PRS economy models. But if you go into it knowing that'll be an important upgrade later, then this is a kicker deal on a dark horse of a guitar. I like it because of the simplicity, but it'll take you where you want to go, no question about it. Plays well and the construction is right up there with some of the nice Squires that are coming in from overseas lately. I got one in that bodacious aqua and I feel like I'm driving a '57 T-bird.
