Welcome to Worry-free Wireless

Going wireless isn’t intimidating when you’re using a Shure GLX-D+ system. This wireless series offers clear digital sound, excellent reliability, and a durable build. Whichever GLX-D+ system you use, the transmitters and receivers automatically pair for an effortless setup. And when you’re performing, Shure’s Dual Band technology provides a massive frequency spectrum across the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands, so you always have a clean channel to work with. The system intelligently monitors your signal and automatically switches frequencies to avoid interference and prevent dropouts. And thanks to the large lithium-ion transmitter batteries, you’ll enjoy that clean, reliable wireless transmission for the entire day. Shure GLX-D+ systems are expandable and available in various transmitter combinations to fit any need. Choose a GLX-D+ wireless system to go wireless with confidence — not complexity.

Hassle-free setup and operation

A large majority of live sound professionals want to use a wireless system that’s dependable, easy to set up, and painless to manage. If that sounds like you, the front-of-house engineers around Sweetwater recommend Shure GLX-D+. Each member of the GLX-D+ family was engineered to be amazingly user-friendly and automatic. Once you’re powered up, the system manages everything, so you can focus on what’s most important — the performance. Whether you’re new to wireless or are a seasoned venue vet, Shure’s GLX-D+ systems are the way to go.

Dual Band wireless operation

GLX-D+ wireless systems leverage Shure’s all-new Dual Band digital wireless technology, allowing the system to operate in both the standard 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands. That gives you more than double the bandwidth of the competition. And because you get more of the frequency spectrum to work with, there’s more space to find a clean channel. Under the hood, your GLX-D+ system will constantly scan both frequency bands and selects multiple backup frequencies. So, if you ever encounter interference, the system seamlessly switches to a backup frequency. With its Dual Band operation and seamless frequency switching, the GLX-D+ helps you perform with confidence.

All-day battery life — and then some

The original GLX-D series boasted an impressive battery life, but Shure has upped the ante. The new and improved GLX-D+ series has a maximum battery life of 12 hours in 5.8GHz operation. Impressive right? But if you stay in the 2.4GHz range, this system can deliver a whopping 17 hours of battery life on a single charge. So, whether you’re rocking the 2.4GHz band or the 5.8GHZ band, you’ll have enough battery life to last all day — and then some.

Designed to grow with you

Multi-system installations are a breeze too. The RF performance, antenna distribution, and automatic frequency management allow you to combine up to 11 half-rack systems in most environments (16 under optimal conditions). Whether you’re running your own sound or managing an entire worship team on Sunday mornings, Shure GLX-D+ systems are up to the task. Multi-system installations require the Shure GLD-D+ Frequency Manager (sold separately). Be sure to call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for more details.

Amazing wireless! Especially love the rechargeable belt pack!

This is our first digital wireless system. I replaced an older Shure SLX system that would drop out from time to time. So far this new GLXD14+ only dropped out once, in Avery crowded outdoor gig when I was totally out of sight. Recharging the belt pack is so easy and it's great to not have to buy batteries! It does not seem to change the guitar amp's tone, though you'll want to adjust the volume on the Shure so it doesn't compress the signal. Definitely recommend this system.

Stellar system and easy to use

I decided to go wireless with my bass guitar, and being technologically negligent I was hoping this system would absolve me of stepping on cords during gigs.

I'm thrilled to say that this system works exactly as I was hoping.

My first test was at a gig in a very small place with a little stage for our 5-piece band. The floor was covered in cords and without the wireless system I would have had to stand in a 1 foot by 1 foot square.

I set this up easily, the system found a clear channel immediately, and I easily plugged into the sound system that the venue had.

WOW! I was able to step off stage, move around, and avoid the pile of cords on the stage.

I'm never going back to cords. Ever. The freedom of movement is awesome.

This system is really easy to use and will totally free you up. You can step away from this thing up to 100 feet. I walked all around that venue and played with no issues whatsoever.

Thanks to Sweetwater for selling this gem. Well worth it if you perform frequently!

Great Active Bass System

Not cheap, but I think it is worth the money so far. I bought this a few weeks ago and have used it for 2 outdoor gigs and one indoors. I have not yet needed to recharge the battery. I've experienced no dropouts, and I can't tell a difference in sound quality between using the wireless or using a cable. I play an active Fender Jazz bass. I set the gain on the initial setup, and have since had to do nothing but plug it in and turn it on. You will, however, need to buy a "holder" to attach the transmitter to your strap. I recommend a Levy's leather strap and holder, as the strap will route through the holder cutouts, vs using just a velcro option, so it is very secure.

Not bad

I do like it. My last wireless was a nady true diversity in the mid 90's. We have come a long way. Easy to set up. Battery is easy to charge although for the price I think a mini usb cord should be included to charge battery without removing it from transmitter. although the slot on receiver to charge word well just a lil more hassle to charge the battery. Really no tone loss just have to adjust gain on unit to get level correct. Only issue I had was do not use this near wireless router they will mix signals and drive you nuts. Second time I used it the board with wireless router was on my side the stage and I had a lot of interference with different sounds etc. I ended up going to a cord 1/2 way through first set and problem was solved. I read up on it the next day and someone said keep it away from other routers since then no issues. Definitely alot better unit than the old nady. And salesman Jason took the time to answer any questions I had and even gave his input.

Not as advertised.

Battery pack and guitar receiver seem well built. Like the charging statin built into the unit for charging the battery.

Followed the directions and recommendations and the wireless performance is mediocre at best. Also, not a lot of help online on Shure's website. Used it at rehearsal and it didn't perform well. Had unit pan and select the optimum channels, adjusted the gain as needed and still the quality of the sound was mediocre at best, sound quality was diminished and echoey. This was paired with a Fender GTX100 amp with both Wifi and Bluetooth shutoff. Not sure if I have the confidence to use this in live performances. Contemplating sending back.
