Shift Your Tone Into High Gear with Next-Gen Amp Modeling

The BOSS GT-100 Amp Effects Processor blows past its predecessor with next-gen amp modeling that gives you incredible vintage guitar amps as well as new COSM tones and effects to help you blaze new sonic frontiers. The GT-100's user interface, with its easy-to-see dual LCDs, gives you instant access to beastly processing power, while the popular EZ Tone feature has been freshly juiced with powerful customization options. USB lets you inject this tone potion straight into your DAW. Want to shift your guitar sound into high gear? Your pedal has arrived: the BOSS GT-100.

Go way beyond vintage with advanced COSM

Sporting a next-gen COSM processor, the BOSS GT-100 opens you to new avenues of sonic expression. Re-creating precise details of vintage amps and their behavior, the GT-100 goes way beyond cloning them to give you vast new frontiers of undiscovered tones. Amp Customize lets you start with a classic amp then morph it into another dimension altogether, carving out totally new sonic territory.

Clean, intuitive user interface

BOSS has fitted the GT-100 with a highly effective, easy-to-operate dual-LCD/8-knob user interface that gives you quick access and very intuitive control. Perhaps best of all, there are no menus to navigate! Every parameter is always available for instant tweaking. Tone customization functionality has been improved as well. All your amps, patches, and overdrive settings can be created from scratch and/or customized with the user-friendly graphical Tone Grid.

Sculpt new tonal textures with the Accel pedal

The BOSS GT-100's Accel pedal puts considerable tone-shaping mojo right under your foot. Control multiple parameters at once, as well as time-variant effects such as Twist, Feedbacker, and S-BEND. Use the pedal to conjure creative combinations of parameters all interacting in real time! You might be getting the idea that (aside from staking claim to being a monster tone machine) the GT-100 is also boatloads of fun. And you'd be so right.

A/B Channel Divide function

The GT-100 sports another new feature: A/B Channel Divide. With it, you assign different amps and effects to each channel and divvy up the signal by dynamics and frequency. Each channel drives its own effects and amp settings. Assign creamy, liquid lead tones to the mid-to-high pitches, for instance, and gritty, cutting tones to your lower notes. With the BOSS GT-100, you can explore a vast universe of tonal possibilities.

BOSS GT-100 Amp Effects Processor Features:

  • Advanced COSM amps that model vintage amp tones and deliver never-before-heard tones
  • Dual-LCD for simple and intuitive operation with direct access to every parameter
  • Improved EZ Tone feature with graphical Tone Grid for constructing new patches
  • Amp Customize and OD/DS Customize let you easily create original amps and overdrive/distortion
  • Newly developed Accel pedal for simultaneous control of multiple parameters

Fantastic pedal !!

I have many guitar effects processors... the difference I notice with this is it feels and sounds like I'm playing through an amp... the two displays make operating it so much easier ! I have had previous GT's and this one is so much better... I've always liked the GT's much more than the ME's... on the ME's you have a number instead of the name of a patch... I have always liked being able to name patches in a way where I always know exactly what they are (like the name of a song)...

It's funny because some of the earlier GT's had a big 18 volt power supply... this one uses the same type of 9 volt power supply that so many of my other guitar multi-effects use... with amps on a power supply, it doesn't hurt to have more, but you have to have enough... I use the same 2 amp 9 volt power supply for this and many of my other ones...

Like the other GT's I've had you could use this for a weapon if needed... it's built like a tank !! I've always liked how tough Boss gear is and they keep working and working and working forever !! I never have problems with Boss gear... one area I really hear improvement over previous GT's is the amp modeling and distortion / overdrive effects (I still like to run my Metal Zone in the effects loop for added punch)...

One thing I've always loved about multi-effect units is you can tweak and tweak until a patch is perfect and store it... all the effects in the chain will always sound like they did when you stored them (like storing a synthesizer patch in a synth)... you just can't get that out of separate effect pedals (I do know that separate effect pedals sound much better but being able to store multi-effect setups is so important to me !!)...

The price is right too... Helixes are fantastic but they cost so much !! The same with Fractals and others... to take gear that expensive into bars is asking for trouble especially because you know that if someone spills a drink on it and kills it, you'll never see a cent from them to repair it... you're on your own !!

If this did get in an accident and was destroyed, it's not hard to replace even if you have to get one used...

I definitely have to say this exceeded my expectations and the more time you put into learning it and making patches, the better !! It's pretty much the same to program as the others as far a parameters, but so much easier with those displays...

The software editor is awesome but you don't need it to do what you want... you can access everything without it... (I would never take a computer to a gig to use the editor, especially when I don't have to)...

Bottom line is I would buy another one of these right away if something happened to it... I've come to rely on it and my older gear is not getting much use !!

Boss

This pedal is awesome! Takes some time to figure it out. But once you dial it in it's worth the time.works great with my evh 5150.

An Oldie But A Goodie!!!

So this pedal was released over a decade ago, and it doesn't have all the fancy color touchscreens that the new pedals have. In my opinion it doesn't need them. The sounds you can get from this pedal are amazing. It has all your bases covered and then some. It's very easy to use and navigate through the various screens and settings. It's built like a tank (solid metal). I've also run two guitars at the same time through this unit using the return in as an input and splitting the signal path in two. I also recommend using the pedal in stereo as there are several effects that use stereo, most notable the Tera echo used on a high gain patch gives an awesome metal sound. The EZ Tone feature is also really cool. It has a bunch of genres you can scroll through and find a sound close to what your looking for quickly and the dial it in. It's also highly configurable for advanced users. Bottom line, Don't let the release date effect your decision it sound just as good if not more dynamic than some of the newer modelers I've used.

This is all you need!

I used to use this bad boy in the 4 Cable method with my Mesa Mark V 35 combo. Had some issues with the amp BUT here is the best part. I was able to recreate the exact sound of the "extreme" channel 2 from my mesa on the GT100. Cab sim is turned off and I run the GT100 out into my amps return.... holy crap. It sounds soo good and reacts the same way when I lower the guitar volume. Now I have also messed with the other preamps on here and run them thru my amps return and if you EQ them just right you get some amazing tones. This pedal saved my gigs! Of course the effects are killer as well. I've done Van Halen tributes and the phasers and flangers are spot on. The accel pedal really shines when you want to just punch in one effect or a combination of effects. Love this pedal!

Only One Pedal needed Clean to Mean !!!!

There's a steep learning curve to pull out all the great Tones from this DO ALL IN 1 ALL Pedal Platform GT-100 !!! I've had it since October 14, 2021....so I've been thru it.
If you take the time to learn how to "adjust the curve", you will be rewarded. !!! I use the computer and I went thru the Gt-100 itself to adjust different speaker combo's and even different Mic's make a difference ! Tuner and the Metronome , is a great feature. The I really like the Acoustic simulation help's with the clean tone. Gotta get all you can of the Boss Central Library Host of guitarists that contribute different patches already done. Check out "Crisp Clean" for one. I'm using the 4 cable method hook up to my DSL 40,,,,man what tone !!!!
Make sure to adjust your guitar input level,,,makes a difference...Made a patch for that.!

Gotta Thank *****Tyler Moore******* He's the man !!!! , great advice from this man, experience with product shows !!!

He gave me a deal I wasn't expecting, and I got it in 2 days !!!! I knew a week later Sweetwater wasn't getting it back !!!
