Re-amping Made Easy!

What do you do to make your guitar track thicker? Re-amp! The Radial Reamp JCR is the latest incarnation of the fabled John Cuniberti Reamp products, and it is ready for all your re-amping needs. Why use just one amp on a track? Why not take the dry guitar signal and put it through another amp, or new effects, and re-amp it? With the Radial Reamp JCR it is easier than ever. The JCR takes care of your impedance, phase and connectivity issues, making re-amping quick and simple.

Radial Reamp JCR Passive Re-amping Device at a Glance:
  • Get more out of your tracks with re-amping
  • Input Control and Noise-free Output
  • Solid construction
Get more out of your tracks with re-amping

With the Radial Reamp JCR you can take a pre-recorded guitar track, and send it through a second distortion pedal and amplifier and then slightly delay the track to add a thick doubling effect. You could also use the Reamp JCR from a voice track to a distortion pedal to ad some grit to a performance.

Input Control and Noise-free Output

The Radial Reamp JCR features include balanced line level input, a custom USA-made transformer that converts your signal impedance for use with guitar amps, three-position filter switch, 180-degree polarity reverse to bring your signal into phase, and ground lift options for noise-free operation.

Solid construction

As with all Radial products, the Reamp JCR is built like a tank to provide years of trouble-free performance. A welded I-beam internal skeleton provides a separate housing for maximum protection against external forces, which may cause stress on the PC board assembly while the outside bookend cover provides a protective zone for the switches, potentiometer and connectors. A full bottom no-slip pad performs double duty by keeping the Radial Reamp JCR from sliding around when placed on a vibrating amplifier while also providing electrical and mechanical isolation.

Radial Reamp JCR Passive Re-amping Device Features:
  • Custom transformer
  • Passive design
  • 14-Gauge steel welded I-beam construction
  • Ground lift switch - recessed to prevent accidental use
  • Phase inverter
  • Mute switch
  • Tone control
  • XLR and TRS inputs
  • TS output
Re-amping is made simple with the Radial Reamp JCR!

What more can be said?

What more can be said? If you're looking for a *passive* reamp box, the JCR is often the one which all others are compared to. Not to say it's the best reamp box that's ever been invented, but rather that it's the a great default option that's tried and true. It's one less thing to worry about.

Excellent Reamp/DI box

The device works exactly as described. The ground lift feature is amazing. I love that I can use multiple input connection types. In one day's use I met my ROI for this device. Sweetwater's packaging and shipping was excellent.

Amazing.

This device is crucial in our studio now!!! It came highly recommended by Mike Picotte, as usual his direction was spot on. Quite frequently we track bass and guitars directly into ProTools or Logic and are more than pleased with our tones… we usually do this to avoid leakage based on the limitations of our room… We usually have a direct line and then an amp model track too… Well now with this little wonder box we take the Direct track, put it back out in the room and run it through (maybe some pedals too!!!) one of our amps - STUNNING RESULTS!1! Thak you Mike and Thank you SWEETWATER!!!

Works Great!

My band Sean Nolan and the Heartmakers was trying to record an album remotely and wanted the sound of our own amps/pedals. There are plenty of great amp sim plugins out there but we weren't getting the sound/feel we were looking for. This reamp box helped us get that sound/feel while not being able to record in person.
The Radial Reamp JCR has all the controls you need to reamp guitars and is "built like a tank"! I was able to plug in a get great guitar sounds immediately. Having both 1/4" and xlr inputs was a plus for me. The level control let's you push the front end of your amp, a bit harder than a guitar's volume pots, and can be a desirable effect. I personally haven't used the HPF switch, but it's a nice option to have if you find yourself tracking a guitar with a bit too much low end.

Big time saver

First of all Radial gear is top notch. If I didn't already know where it was made I'd swear that it was made in Germany. The level of quality and attention to detail on all the Radial products I own and have uses has always impressed me.

Sound wise it's clear as a bell and dead silent. I have no issues with output level like I've had with certain other manufactures which will remain nameless. Also after using a couple different active reamp boxes I prefer the passive version. It's much more quiet. This box isn't at all expensive and works great. I can now reamp at home instead of running to the main studio.

For me this box is a big time saver. I live in a bit of a noisy location. I prefer to work from home but with trains and trucks around most of the day the noise can ruin a good take. Now I can record my guitars and bass direct and wait until all the train and truck traffic dies down for the day and reamp at my convenience.

If there is session ruining noise when reamping I just have to hit rewind and reamp again since I already recorded my great take direct earlier in the day! That saves me a lot of time and frustration.

The only thing that I would have liked to see done differently was the plastic jacks. I would have preferred to see all metal ones. However the plastic isn't that cheap stuff you find in other brands and I seriously doubt they will wear out any time soon under normal use. The bottom line is if you have a situation similar to mine of just want the flexibility to reamp at a later time get one of these. You won't be sorry.
