A Quality Blues Harp

The superb sound of the Lee Oskar Major Diatonic harmonica reflects its top-quality materials, construction, and design. Playing traditional blues on this harp is a piece of cake, by virtue of its major diatonic tuning. Many professional players (and quite a few here at Sweetwater) turn to Lee Oskar harmonicas. Check out the Lee Oskar Major Diatonic Harmonica, and you'll see why!

Lee Oskar - a harmonica whiz

Lee Oskar was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1948 and received his first harmonica at the age of six. In his late teens, Oskar traveled to America, where he formed the popular funk band War. Lee's iconic hook in the song "Low Rider" is arguably the most memorable harmonica part in rock history. In 1983, Lee formed Lee Oskar Harmonica, crafting harps suited to common genres of music such as blues, rock, country, reggae, pop, and jazz, as well as less common genres such as Eastern European, Gypsy, Yiddish, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Asian, and European/American folk music.

Best

I first found out about a Lee Oskar harmonicas while getting an autograph from Jr. Wells during a concert he was performing at in Tampa, Fla.
He looked at my harmonica I asked him to sign and he said it was a piece of junk and handed me one of his Lee Oskars.
I actually tried it and it played like a dream. It's hanging as a souvenir but since I've purchased a set of every key I use a lot. I'm yet to have one go bad on me but if it does it's easy and affordable to replace the Reed plates. Imo they are the best especially for the price. Highly recommend them.

Awesome Harmonica!

I have had this harmonica for over a year. Never had a problem with it. I am new to playing harmonicas. This was about my third or fourth one. All the other ones were cheapies that didn't sound right, etc. This one sounds great. I literally do not want to put it down sometimes. I will be buying more Lee Oskar harmonicas.

Really nice harp

I've been playing 3 months but I'm laid up so I play 4 hours per day. Lee Oskar is my favorite. Sound is warm, chords sound full and dramatic, bending is coming along, 2 draw is better than most. I have a Harmo Polar and Seidel which are also very good. Diamondback by Silver Creek Chromatic is utter garbage as is the Roadhouse set of five harmonicas by Hohner. You learn. When the pain gets too bad, I blow—the only way to go.
