The Perfect Subwoofer for Your LSR Monitors!

Designed as a companion to JBL's LSR active studio monitor series, the LSR310S powered subwoofer takes the low-end load off of your nearfields. A 10" down-firing driver delivers tight and focused bass, so you get truly balanced 3-way sound. Onboard the LSR310S, you'll find a selectable crossover that sports JBL's XLF Extended Low Frequency Setting, giving you plenty of flexibility to get the low-end contour you need. Ask anyone at Sweetwater: adding a subwoofer to your studio, such as the JBL LSR310S, makes is easier to create great-sounding productions. JBL's Slip Stream port ensures that the LSR310S provides tight and focused bass at any volume. A wide selection of inputs and outputs let you integrate this sub into your studio quickly. Hear what you've been missing in your studio with the JBL LSR310S active studio monitor.

Beef up your studio's low-end response

Create the full-range sound you need out of your studio monitors with the JBL LSR310S active subwoofer. The rich and full low end you'll get from the 200-watt Class D power amp and 10" woofer will make it easier than ever to create amazing sounding mixes. When you activate the XLF Extended Low Frequency Setting, you'll get a club-like response that will help you tailor your bass volumes and frequencies to perfection. The JBL LSR310S powered subwoofer delivers deep bass down to 27Hz to round out the sound of your studio.

Ported design means more accuracy at low volume levels

Checking your mix at low volume levels is a great way to check your overall balance, but many speakers will suffer in the bass regions when dealing with low monitoring levels. The JBL LSR310S uses JBL's patented "Slip Stream" low-frequency port for accurate bass response at low playback levels. The double-flared port shape also reduces the turbulence that some ported designs cause, meaning that bass response remains pure when you turn the LSR310S back up.

All the connections you need for your studio

The JBL LSR310S active subwoofer is packed with the professional features such as balanced XLR inputs, balanced 1/4" inputs, selectable crossover settings, and balanced XLR outputs to allow connection of left and right main speakers. A level control allows independent adjustment of the subwoofer output to balance the sound of your studio monitor system.

JBL LSR310S Active Studio Subwoofer Features:

  • Powered Studio Subwoofer designed to provide top-notch low end to modest-sized control rooms
  • Down-firing 10" speaker and Slip Stream port provide tight and focused low end
  • Selectable crossover and volume control lets you tune your system precisely
  • XLF Extended Low Frequency setting lets you get deeper, more resonant bass sound
  • XLR and TRS balanced inputs give you low-noise performance with your studio gear
  • Dual XLR outputs
  • Powered by a highly efficient 200W (RMS) Class D amplifier

Good low volume reference

I wanted to live with the JBL LSR310S 10-inch Powered Studio Subwoofer before I wrote this review. I had a previous version (I can't remember the exact model) but it had a different "feel" than the one I'm now using. It was more boomy and less defined. It was the series that could use the optional microphone setup to tune the speakers to the room. I never liked that tech and I don't think I ever got it to work right. To my ears, the JBL LSR310S is more sharp and defined and much more simpler to setup than my previous gear.

I like comparing my bass to songs that I love. In operation with my JBL 305P MkII 5-inch Powered Studio Monitors, turning the volume down really helps me balance areas in the entire mix (Highs, Mid and Lows). This is very key for identifying ares of concern. The JBL LSR310S also jams when the volume is needed especially in the CROSSOVER FREQUENCY settings. Changing the XLR (Extended Low Frequency) setting activates a circuit that emulates the bass tuning common in club playback systems. Beware, this setting will shake everything. I really enjoy the JBL LSR310S. I feel that the JBL LSR310S works very well with my JBL 305P MkII 5-inch Powered Studio Monitors and that this setup has greatly helped my mix. I am very satisfied.

Best Sub for the price hands down!

JBL LSR310S is such a beast Subwoofer, super accurate and extremely smooth also deep and perfectly separates the Mid-high and Lows from my Kali LP-6's. Listening at low volume is just like listening to it loud. Got mine today I have been missing out for years, don't do the same thing as me, BUY IT. Don't forget to dial down the volume on your monitors if you have them at 0db, lower the volume and dial the bass volume correctly.

P.S: Sweetwater has the best customer service in the industry bar none!

The perfect match

I already had a pair of JBL LSR308's, and the LSR310S subwoofer is the perfect match for them. This sub does the job, and does it well. I am very happy with it. From the corner of the room, I am able to dial in just the right amount of lows, and with the crossover, the 308's feel relieved. This is a beefy unit with some nice control.

Perfect for my studio.

It's a Pretty good subwoofer

I have Jbl 308ps and I got the lsr310'sand the first one I received turned on for a second and then died, I sent it back and my second one worked and Is still working, but I've found a few things out. First if you have anything more than fives, even if you have fives I would recommend getting a xlr mono y splitter for each channel for the cheapest way to by-pass the crossover because it lowkey sucks. This sub also has a resonance problem with the bass port at certain frequencies which blows my mind that made it past testing. But other than that It bangs like crazy with the xlf mode and even on 80hz and has very smooth bass. But its up to you and If i could go back I would probably go with the krk but this was on sale for black friday so... Its a good option just wish they coulda thought it out a bit more.
