Tweaked for Maximum Performance

The Matrix Infinity VT is the latest evolution of Fishman's flagship Matrix series, and it delivers the clear, transparent tone that the company is known for. It all starts with the Acoustic Matrix, Fishman's best-selling under-saddle pickup. A redesigned, sealed enclosure for the Infinity VT's soundhole-mounted Volume and Tone controls make adjusting your sound effortless. A soft-touch endpin-mounted preamp offers top-notch sound and touch response. The Tone control cuts mids while boosting treble and bass. Beyond that, a voicing switch accommodates your guitar's body size and performance situation. The Matrix Infinity VT employs solderless connections for easy installation.

Result of over two decades of R&D

Resulting from over two decades of collective R&D, the Matrix Infinity VT offers exceptional musicality, superb balance from string to string, absolute accuracy and ease of installation. Starting with the popular Acoustic Matrix pickup as a point of departure, the Matrix Infinity VT includes a soft-touch endpin-mounted preamp for a sophisticated level of sound quality and responsiveness to your touch.

Exceptional sound and versatility

Key to the evolved design of the Matrix Infinity VT is soundhole-mounted rotary Volume and Tone controls that allow you to make easily accessible dynamic and tonal adjustments. The Tone control cuts mids while boosting the bass and treble response to enhance the tonal characteristic and impact of any amplified acoustic guitar, from classical nylon string instruments to Dreadnought and Jumbo acoustic models. Taking the pickup's tonal variation capability one step further, the Matrix Infinity also incorporates a switchable voicing feature to accommodate all guitar body sizes and different performance situations in one pickup.

Four models available

Exceptionally roadworthy, the Matrix Infinity VT is available in two saddle slot widths — a wide 1/8" format (Gibson) or narrow 3/32" format (Martin). A Split format is available for instruments with two saddles (Lowden) — a short one for the E and B strings, and a longer one for the remaining four strings. You can also get a ukulele version. The Matrix Infinity VT requires a 9V battery (not included) and professional installation is recommended.

Big time upgrade over the stock pickup!

I bought this to upgrade the stock pickup in the GS Mini which was just not good. Well words can't express the quality of improved sound!! In order to repurpose the original stock preamp hole I bought a battery box close to the size and opened it up a bit for the new battery box heated the box with a heat gun to pickup the contour of the body and guess what! It's perfect and you don't have to go into the body to change a battery now with the velcro bag. I really outdid myself too bad I fell out of love with the GS Mini and it's gone traded it in, but the store loved the work and I'm sure sold it almost immediately.

WOW!!!

I just put a Matrix Infinity in a Martin DR (their economy series), had a bit of trouble with the bass strings response and Gary (at Fishman) helped me thru that. I have since dialed it in (completely flat on the tone control) and played it live 3 times now.

This is the PUREST, most NATURAL tone from a pick up I have ever heard! My friends all say the same thing too!!!

Seriously considering replacing my Rare Earth Humbucker in my Gibson SJ-200 with one of these.

You have a real winner here folks!!!

Fishman Matrix Infinity VT Acoustic Pickup-Narrow Saddle

What I wanted was an affordable pickup for my Martin OOO JR, a guitar I play through a Roland Cube Street. It perfectly replicates the guitar's natural tone without any extraneous buzzing or hissing. I'm complete satisfied with this guitar/pickup set up and look forward to playing it through my Fishman Loudbox if/when I need more volume on a gig.

Amazing little Pickup!

Just put this in my GS Mini - Rosewood and ran it through its paces. I had originally gotten the Taylor ES Go magnetic pickup for almost half the price. I AM SO GLAD I RETURNED IT FOR THIS! For two major reasons: 1) Leaving the ES Go in my Taylor DRASTICALLY changed what the guitar sounded like acoustically, very much for the worse. Killed the low end and "body" of the guitar, and lowered the overall volume a smidge. 2) Generally sounded like a magnetic pickup, which means it got the job done, but at bare minimum, and you have no controls.

I've never done anything like this on a guitar before (but I'm otherwise generally a handyman), but with a little help from YouTube I had this in really quick, sanded the saddle down to compensate for the pickup, and we're in business.

Sounds great. The low end bump switch works great for my small body guitar. With just Tone control adjusted half-way (generally gives a smile eq) I really like the sound I'm getting out of it.

If you're considering saving $... to get the ES Go for a GS Mini... DON'T DO IT! This is WAY worth the extra cost and effort, both plugged in and acoustic!
Music background: Jack of all trades, master of none.

Do you perform? Are you a singer/songwriter? We'd love to turn you on to Fishman's Loudbox amps and amazing pedals. But Fishman isn't limited to acoustic electronics. Many of us have tricked out our electric guitars with Fishman Fluence pickups and TriplePlay wireless MIDI systems too.
