Powerful, Lightweight PA Speakers for Any Application

You'll be impressed by how easy it is to fill a room with powerful, pristine sound with Turbosound Milan M12 powered loudspeakers. This 12-inch, 1,100-watt speaker is perfect for live music applications, and just as appropriate for schools, churches, or even corporate A/V installations. The coverage is wide and consistent, and doesn't sound strange when you get out of the main coverage area - some of the major factors Sweetwater considers when we're designing live sound systems. Whether you use it as a PA speaker or a stage monitor you can expect tight and powerful lows, rich and detailed mids, and smooth highs from the Milan M12.

Turbosound Milan M12 Powered PA Speaker at a Glance:
  • Composite cabinet makes this powerful speaker strong and lightweight
  • Flexible input options for virtually any application
  • Designed to serve double-duty as a floor monitor too
Composite cabinet makes this powerful speaker strong and lightweight

You'll notice the Milan M12 is remarkably lightweight for a 12-inch PA speaker, at just about 45 pounds. That's due to the cabinet design, which is made from injection-molded polypropylene. And if you look close you'll see a ribbed pattern on the cabinet's exterior (it's actually on the interior as well). That ribbing not only adds strength and rigidity, it also helps cut down on cabinet resonance. Basically, the Milan M12 lets you take advantage of a lighter, stronger design without compromising your sound quality.

Flexible input options and sound shaping for virtually any application

You can connect practically any sound source to the Milan M12, from your mixer's line outputs to instruments and microphones. And you've got two inputs available, so the Milan M12 is a perfectly viable solution for coffee shop performances with a guitar and vocal mic. It's also perfect for public speaking - in fact, there's a Speech/Music mode switch that optimizes the performance for those applications.

Designed to serve double-duty as a floor monitor too

The powerful sound and lightweight design make the Milan M12 an ideal main PA speaker, it's designed to serve you well as a stage monitor too. The trapezoidal design doesn't just make it easy to handle, it also angles the Milan M12 up at you when you place it on the side. Switch on the 100Hz low-cut filter, and now you've got a sweet-sounding floor monitor that won't add rumble to your stage sound.

Turbosound Milan M12 Powered PA Speaker Features:
  • Active PA speaker with 12" LF driver and 1,100W Class-D power amp
  • Klark Teknik DSP optimizes your sound with dynamic equalization and intelligent limiting
  • Specially-designed waveguide gives you wide, consistent coverage with natural off-axis sound
  • Bass and Treble EQ controls let you fine-tune your sound
  • Dual-angle pole mount socket makes it easy to position for optimum sound coverage
  • Injection-molded polypropylene enclosure is strong and lightweight
  • Recessed carry handle makes transport and setup easier
  • Front-panel LED indicators indicate if a signal is present, when limiting is occurring, and when signal is clipping

Good purchase

I play banjo and guitar through preamps via cables. We also had a bass and electric guitar. I used only this one speaker for an outdoor venue. It was on 2 and my mixer was on 3. Set it on tripod at ear level parallel to us. Connected to mixer in monitor (mono) slot. Worked great. Gotta love the power (ceiling room.)

Think Vintage JBL Sound Quality

If it wasn't for the recommendation of Sweetwater's Michael Grebe suggesting this as a powered PA solution, I would have probably spent a lot more and have been much more aggravated. Had our first jazz vocal gig with a single M12. No external mixer. No external EQ needed. No extra wires.
Plugged a Samson wireless and an SM57 into the XLR inputs, adjusted the volumes and played the gig. Didn't even have to tweak the built in Bass or Treble controls. More than enough volume even at just 1/4 of the way turned up. Sounds awesome with MP3's of all styles. Sweet transparent highs, full rich lows without a hint of a cheap boom sound. Can't wait to have a few more gigs under our belt to buy a second cabinet. But - only if we have an outdoor or large venue. One M12 was awesome for the wine bar we played.

TurboSound Incredible

The power rating is one thing. But the performance and sonic clarity is another! this unit well out performs what the spec sheets says it can do. I have decided not to by the K12's because of this Milan M12!!! It's really that good!

Powerhouse Speaker at affordable price

I originally bought a 300 watt all-in-one system, then Brian convinced me this would do better for me. "Better" doesn't even begin to start to describe the difference! This is a powered speaker - all you need is a mic and cable, and you are good to go. Or a 1/8 to 1/4 cord and run your phone into it, blasting Pandora or your playlist to the neighbors!
It weighs a plenty - your wife won't want to carry it to the attic after a gig, and you'll need a decent stand, but I am nothing but impressed with it. In all my goofing around, I have never yet hit the limiter on it - and now I'm about afraid to try!
I generally use it with a small mixer board so I can have more than 2 inputs, which is the limit with this. But the other night in my garden party, I used my computer playlist into one input, and a mic into the other - we had tunes and prize giveaways!
I love it, I plan to buy another to pair them! At this price, I can't imagine using a all-in-one system like a PVi, or Passport, or One of the others. This simply has far more power for less $$.

sound fantasic

back in the 90's a company from montreal used to bring their turbosound rig to the baltimore/dc area for large scale rave events. i was always super impressed. so when i finally had a chance to own some of my own turbosounds, i purchaed these milans m12's. i replaced some EV's id been using at my monthly event. the first night i had multiple people tell me how much better it sounded. rich and full were the words most used. last night was the second event i took them too, and again - had many compliments on how great it sounded in there. would love to pick up a few more!
