A fantastic stand!

I can't believe I waited this long to go from an X-brace style stand to this one. K&M have made this stand as solid as a rock. The portability (using the included strap) is an awesome plus. I also ordered the shorter arms to accommodate my shallow MIDI controller (Studiologic SL88 Grand).

Best Stand. Period.

K&N never disappoints. I bought this to support my Nord Stage 3 88 Key and the quality and duty meet my expectations. Most importantly, I have full confidence with it supporting a heavy keyboard such as my Nord. The legs are far apart to the point that they don't interfere with your playing. It doesn't wobble. And at any height, it still has that support. This style of stand is one of the most supporting types and I believe it. I would trust another piece of gear sitting on a second-tier without a doubt. The fact that it is portable is also a bonus. Although I won't bring it out as much, I know that in the future, this is my go-to. I might end up buying another one.

Great Stand!

I am very happy with this stand. When I was looking for a stand, I wanted it to be sturdy, but I knew I did not want an X style stand because I am tall enough that they get in the way of my knees. Someone else described this stand as rock solid and that is a very accurate description. My other big criteria was that the stand would fold down so it would be easily transportable, which this stand does, making it a huge upgrade to the similar model K&M sells for about $... less that does not fold down. This stand is extremely solid and sturdy, folds down easily, has a carry strap you can use to help carry it, and looks really nice too. It's very easy to put together - and once you've initially assembled it, folding it down and setting back up after transporting it is very easy - you just pull out the two spring loaded knobs and the side fold in. I guess the down side is that it is quite a bit more expensive than the X style stands and was definitely over my budget, but you get what you pay for and I have every reason to believe this stand will last a lifetime. Couldn't be happier with this purchase and happy to pay a little more for something that actually works great, is functional and will last forever. Oh - it looks very nice and has a very nice smooth painted finish - and that's certainly a good thing as well. Glad Sweetwater offers this folding version of the stand as it's not super easy to come by (most just sell the non folding version of the same stand). One small thing that would be a nice to have - the two arms that hold the keyboard are a pretty deep - about 14", so if you have a keyboard (such as the casio cdp series) that is rather shallow, it won't be deep enough to his both pieces of rubber and could possibly slide around. Would be great if they made those arms adjustable or included additional rubber to place in the center of the arms. That said it hasn't been an issue for me, but would be a nice to have. Last note - Sweetwater shipped this extremely fast and they have awesome technical support / customer service so you can feel good buying from this company. Hope that is helpful to anyone looking for a new stand. You won't go wrong with this one.

Best keyboard stand ever!

I am really happy with my purchase. This stand is well built! It is easy to setup and break down. It's very stable! Rock Solid! I love the fact that I can set it up at the same height every time by counting the wholes. Something I hated about the X stands. I also like the fact that I have room for my knees something else you don't have with the X Ironing board stands. It was well worth the cost. I should have done this long ago! Finally I must say I also like the fact that you can fold it up to save space. I would Highly recommend this stand and I will tell all my Musician friends about this guy! P.S. I forgot to mention that I'm using it with my Korg Kronos 88 LS. See pictures below.
