Sweet Amp Head from Orange

Fat to fuzzy gain, crunchy to clear, the Orange Rocker Terror amp head gives you all the sound of a big amp in a compact head that Orange is known for. With the Rocker Terror head, you can truly explore the sounds that your guitar and pedal setup have to offer. A Natural channel on the Rocker Terror lets all the transparent, clear tones of your pickups soar — single-coils ring, humbuckers sing, each with its own signature tonal palette. A Dirty channel offers vintage-inspired gain, master volume, and a 3-band EQ that let you dial in classic British grit and grime when you really want to rock. A headroom/bedroom switch lets you move between 15, 7, 1 or even half a watt so you can get the true sound of this amp at low volumes when practicing in your room, or access loud volumes when in wide-open spaces of clubs playing to an audience.

Space and volume

Let's face it, you don't just buy an amp to play live. You need the private space and time to play and craft your style. With the Orange Rocker 15 amp head's headroom/bedroom switch, you have the kind of volume and wattage options that let you explore in both spaces, with the type of true representative tone you need for honing your craft. Hit bedroom, and you can move down from 15 watts to a half watt and still not lose the tonal quality coming out of your amp as you adjust your volume to not wake up the rest of the house. Switch back to headroom when no one else is around or when you're out playing live, and with 15 watts of tube-driven power, you can put out some serious volume.

Two channels open the doors wide for tonal exploration

The Rocker 15 amp head features two classic amp channels: Natural and Dirty. Because let's face it, sometimes you want that transparent, clear tone that lets notes sing in a wide-open voicing, and other times you want that crunch and growl. With these two channels, you have the tonal options at your fingertips that let you move effortlessly between styles and genres — garage rock, gritty blues, or clean-sounding modern pop.

A legend continues to evolve

The truest representative for what your guitar and pedals sound like is your amp. Turning 50 next year, Orange Music has become a legend in the world of amps for consistently designing amps that translate the outgoing signals from your guitar and pedals into amazing amplified tone. This reputation has won over dozens of legendary guitarists over the years, from Jimmy Page to Billy Gibbons. The Rocker 15 Terror head is one more stellar example of Orange excellence.

Orange Rocker Terror 15 Features:

  • Twin Channels for clean and gritty modes let you explore
  • Valve buffered effects loop gives you a variety of clean, crunchy effects
  • Headroom/bedroom switch lets you move between 15, 7, 1 or even half a watt
  • Effects loop feature gives you even more options for stylistic exploration

Awesome Orange Amp!

Lower power tube amps are all the rage these days and the Orange Rocker 15 Terror is one of the best. I paired it with an Orange PPC112 speaker cab which is a superior product as well. With no EQ on the clean channel, the amp offers a totally transparent signal for pedals or is great as a stand alone sound to showcase a particular guitar's attributes. The dirty channel has all the Orange drive goodness they're famous for. It will support Orange colored cleans, to mild breakup, and take you to classic rock and early metal easily. If you want heavy metal or doom, just throw a drive pedal in front and it'll take you there. The 4 power levels are awesome for giving you the ability to have driven tube tone whether your practicing in a bedroom or needing to take to the stage. Like all Oranges, they're built like tanks and are some of the most dependable amps on the market. Very versatile amp and I highly recommend it.

Just buy it

What can I say that hadn't already been said? This amp is the freaking bomb.

I have a dark terror which kicks *** in its own right but always wished it had two channels.

No the dirt channel is not the dark terror but somewhat akin to a cranked plexi. Bedroom wattage!!! Just buy it if you're thinking about it, also the clean channel is freaking sublime and takes pedals soooooo well.

Awestruck and Dumbfounded

I have spent many years playing metalcore, so my 5150 has always been a trusty steed. But with downsizing being all the rage, and not wanting to buy what is just a smaller version of the head I have, I decided to diversify and buy a Rocker 15. All the videos I've seen on it show that it has solid tone, a small profile, flexible power settings, and a nifty little gig bag to boot.

All of my expectations on this amp have been THOROUGHLY exceeded. I thought this amp's one drawback might be that it wouldn't have quite enough gain for my playing style, but that could be fixed with a signal boost. Anyway, to make a long story short, I was dead wrong about the gain. I leave it set at about 75% and it just sings its little heart out. It's also really fun to dial it back a bit for some of those oh-so GenX grunge riffs.

I hate being the guy to say "I've played this and that head over so many decades" but I have owned a lot of neat amps over the years. This one might be the coolest, however. I've never owned a head that sounded so good with less than 30 seconds of tweaking after turning it on.

Good job, Orange. I'm a fan for life!
Music background: I beat up on guitars and look silly while doing it.

This AMP lives up to its name.

I bought this amp because I needed a smaller wattage tube amplifier. My Marshall DSL 100 watt is awesome. But I also needed things at lower decibels at times. This amp does that. But be aware this amp is fully capable of ROCKER TERROR LOUDNESS.I wired it up to both of my Marshall 4x12"s. And man can it push air! Wow! I have only good things to say about it. It is built very well. And it sounds amazing. I'm already a better player because of it. If you are looking for an affordable amplifier this is the one. Thanks to Skyler @ Sweetwater. He made the whole process smooth and easy.
