A Capo with Rock-solid Intonation

The Shubb C1 Standard capo won't mess with your tuning or intonation, allowing for fast attachment between songs with no break in your musical flow. This capo’s patented over-center locking action ensures smooth operation and unrivaled ease of use. Its soft rubber pad works like a fingertip, while its closing action is engineered like your hand, so the capo doesn’t pull your guitar’s strings off center — no retuning necessary. Its innovative roller design ensures smooth action and reduced wear for long-term reliability. Small, stylish, and unobtrusive, the Shubb C1 is tailor-made for acoustic and electric steel-string guitars.

Engineered to work like the human hand

Most capos mess with your intonation — you have to retune your instrument every time you attach one. That’s because fingerboards are made for fingers, not capos. Thanks to Shubb, this is no longer a problem. Shubb capos employ a soft rubber pad that works like your fingertip. Consequently, they don’t forcefully bend your instrument’s strings over its frets. Likewise, the capo’s closing action is similar to that of your hand, so it doesn’t pull your strings off center. This eliminates the need to retune your instrument after installing the capo. What’s more, Shubb capos are a breeze to use — one flip of a lever locks it securely in place and removes it just as easily. Fast, easy installation and rock-solid intonation — what more could you ask for? Shubb capos have remained popular for nearly 40 years — many guitarists here at Sweetwater swear by them. Try one, and you’ll understand why.

Shubb's C1 model fits most steel-string acoustic and electric guitars.

Best capo I've ever used.

This capo is built great, I've used 5 other capos in the past and they broke, this one hasn't yet. The 2 people that has pit 3 stars on this product are picky pieces of crap. Don't listen to them.

Great Capo

I like the slim profile and adjustability of this capo, great product.

I've tried others, this one is no fuss to put in place, preserves tuning even when putting it on and off all night.

I've bought more capos than I should have, often settling for what I could get in a crunch. Hands down, this is the best capo you can get, it's versatile to fit almost any instrument, it is reliable, it's easy and there is no fussing to get it on or off the instrument quickly. The claim to not affect tuning has proven to be true. Very well made. This is my first made in China (they're saying PRC now), so I hope there isn't some subtle change from US quality, but it looks as bombproof as the others I own. At this price I have one in every case so I never get anywhere without a capo.
Music background: Guitars, bass, mandolin, keyboards small time performer for the sheer joy of music

Shub c1 Electric Guitar Capo

I have a Shub capo from the 80's that I normally use. I needed a second one to leave at home for when I practice. I really like the new development of the capo which added the little rubber wheel making it lock into place more smoothly. This one wound up getting used for live performance and my old one is now for home use. Thank's Kriss Kress and Sweetwater for carrying all of the quality accessories we guitarists need and use.
