All-mahogany Acoustic-electric at an Affordable Price

The Washburn Woodline WLO12SE 6-string Orchestra acoustic-electric guitar is a great instrument for players who need a guitar that looks, sounds, and plays great at an affordable price. The mahogany top, back, and sides deliver a warm tone that perfectly complements the human voice. The Sitka spruce bracing has been reduced to allow the WLO12SE's top to vibrate more freely. And the guitar is decked out in high-end ornamentation like rosewood binding and a NuBone string nut and saddle. The Washburn WLO12SE is a quality acoustic guitar for a great price.

All-mahogany construction

The all mahogany construction of the WLO12SE has been a popular option for acoustic guitars since the instruments were first introduced. The mahogany top allows you to achieve a full and round tone that, because of its lower overtones, allows your voice to sit nicely on top of the mix. And the mahogany back and sides impart a midrange-focused, warm tone that's ideal for strumming. This coupling of woods is a favorite of singer/songwriters and continues to be a favorite among Sweetwater guitarists.

Improved spruce bracing

The bracing inside of the WLO12SE has been greatly reduced in mass. This minimizes the rigidity of the mahogany top, and it allows the top to vibrate much more freely. These vibrations add a bigger, bolder, and more balanced tone to your Woodline WLO12SE acoustic-electric. And the bracing is made from scalloped solid Sitka spruce. The pairing of the mahogany top and spruce bracing works to ensure the darker tone of the guitar has plenty of clarity to cut through.

Custom details

Not only is the tone of your WLO12SE richer because of the scalloped Sitka spruce bracing, but the onboard Fishman Isys+ pickup system translates those tones to the live environment. Features like real rosewood binding and the use of NuBone for the string nut and bridge saddle are high-end touches not generally found on instruments in this price range. And a dual-action truss rod is installed for more precise and stable neck adjustments.

Washburn Woodline WLO12SE Orchestra 6-string Acoustic-electric Guitar Features:

  • Acoustic guitar with top-notch features
  • Mahogany top is powerful and warm sounding
  • Mahogany back and sides are great for strumming
  • Lighter X-bracing allows the top to vibrate freely

Daughter's Graduation Gift

Absolutely excited to give my daughter this BEAUTIFUL guitar as her BIG graduation gift!(I cannot afford the electric blue Jeep Wrangler she requested..haha ..ugh!) I cannot wait to hear her play this guitar on graduation day. I'm almost as excited for her to get this gift from Mama, than I am to watch her get her diploma! What a treat! June 4th, 2022 can't get here fast enough!
Thank you Washburn! (If you'd like to throw in a Jeep, that'd be great! No pressure!)

Getting to know it

Have had this guitar only three days, so keep that in mind. Bought it as an alternate mellow sound to two other acoustics, a D28 spruce too, and a 1970s Guild f30 mahogany with red cedar top. This Washburn was my choice after looking at several minis and smaller sizes - usual suspects. Came close to buying a Martin jr, but wanted mahogany. Key things I notice: perfect build quality and setup (Sweetwater), easy to play as advertised, and most notably the notes ring forever, doing a droning note hangs on and on. Sound at this new stage is crisp. Comparing it to the sweet sounds of the Guild, it is way brighter, but not too much. One detail is that the body is a little narrower which adds comfort playing in a chair, even though it is a regular sized guitar. The Fishman pickup is very good alao with bass and treble and a phaser switch for more bass. Bottom line so far: very good deal but more important a legitimately nice guitar. Can't wait to play it in and use it for next small group (outside) performance.

Beautiful and unique

Gorgeous mahogany top, even the sides and back have striking depth and highlights. The satin finish of the mahogany neck is an outstanding choice, sleek feel and pretty as well. Rich and resonant, this axe is a head-turner. Washburn really hit this one out of the park.

Very Nice!

I've had this a little over two months now. It's my favorite acoustic. I like it better than my Taylor 110ce. I used Earthwoods Medium Light, Light and Extra Light and the sound is good with all gages and the action is really good .. about as good as you are going to find on an acoustic and I've tried a lot of them. The size is very comfy. It's beautiful to look at. The one thing I did is order new bridge pins because I don't care for the ones it came with, a minor issue. My next step is to amp it and see how it sounds but I'm sure I'll be happy. All that said, I just love to pick up this guitar.
