Awesome live vocal mic

So glad that I purchased this microphone. The response is not only rich and full, just looking at the EQ response on my mixer tells the story. More heat from low to high and everything in between.
Music background: Professional touring solo acoustic rock ‘n’ roll guitar stand vocalist. Traveling music man.

Awesome mic on stage

I was worried I'd get a lot of feedback because I sing and play keys not too far from a very loud and not caged drummer but to my surprise that has not been an issue in the supercardioid position this mic offers, I couldn't have a made the right choice without Caleb's help, Thank you so much Caleb and Sweetwater for such amazing customer service experience

Best...Mic...I...Have...Ever...Used!

I use the Sennheiser 965 at home in my music studio. I love it! It is incredibly smooth with EQ set at 12 o'clock. I have a few other mid-priced mics, but this one out-performs all of them. I highly recommend it.
Music background: Jammer.

What Do Our In-house Gear Experts Think?

Evan Mehre

The Sennheiser e965 is a treat to mix. I’ve used these on the vocals of national acts for years, and been thrilled with the results every time. It’s a warmer sound than comparable solutions, with added versatility by virtue of its pad and pattern options. Just to top it off, it sounds great on brass instruments too!

From their studio-standard MD 421 II drum mic to their trusty headphones and ultra-reliable wireless systems, there are countless good reasons why the artists and engineers here at Sweetwater are quick to recommend Sennheiser products. In our personal studios, you'll find plenty of HD 280 Pro headphones, e609 Silver cab mics, and other staples, while many of us rely on EW wireless in-ear systems onstage. Our long association with Sennheiser means we constantly have their latest products in stock and in our hands, so we're ready to tell you all about them. If you're looking for Sennheiser gear, then get the information you need from people who use it - trust your Sweetwater Sales Engineer.
