Hard-hitting Pickups for Your Tele

Want real-deal Tele tone with high output? Many Sweetwater guitarists rely on the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Tele Lead/Rhythm pickup set to delivers the goods. You get classic Tele twang - along with juiced output that lets your amp know who's boss. Duncan spec'd the STL-3 lead bridge pickup with beefy quarter-inch diameter pole pieces for a stronger magnetic field that increases the output and allows for a special coil winding. This delivers the high-end definition you need for strong treble bite and a powerful, full midrange. (It's awesome for overdrive!) The STR-3 neck pup matches the bridge model in tone and output, but uses 3/16" pole pieces and comes with a chrome-plated brass cover. Upgrade your axe with a set of Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Tele pickups!

Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Tele Pickup Set Features:
  • High-output true single-coil pickups for your Telecaster
  • STL-3 has 1/4" diameter pole pieces for a stronger magnetic field
  • STR-3 matches the bridge model in tone and output, but uses 3/16" pole pieces
  • Best for tonally balanced instruments with maple or rosewood fingerboards
Hit hard with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Tele pickups!

Incredible Sound, Incredible Value

These pickups are great! They sound amazing in the tele I just put together, and can't get enough of the grit and growl that they have!!

Made my Slick guitar even slicker.

Definitely worth the upgrade on my Slick SL50 tele. I am a Duncan fan already and have them on 2 other guitars, so not surprised by the quality. Thanks Sweetwater for the great products you sell.

Impressed

I loaded these pups into an Affinity tele hoping they would liven it up. I'm not just happy, but blown away by the monster tone. This Tele is now kickin' it!

Rude, but sweet! Higher ohm pots really open them up.

I'll keep this simple and (relatively) quick: this is your beloved tele, but jacked a tad on 'roids and some undisclosed naughtiness! These are not as twangy as your typical Telecaster would be, but for me that's what I was looking for - I wanted mine to ROCK, not get my honky-tonk on (apologies for my Tele sacrilege!) That being said. I originally worked these through 250k ohm pots and found them a bit too compressed for my liking - they have that big DC resistance to deal with. So, I opted to switch to a 500k / treble bleed setup and it opened up these pickups completely! They are loud and proud with nice string clarity and healthy midrange growl, but they clean up amazingly well with the volume knob - for such hot pickups, they can get quite delicate and polite. Roll down the tone down and you can get into jazz-box territory, too - pretty versatile. Summing it up: Big Tele tones with an even bigger rock attitude, but they aren't afraid to show some sweet-sweet love & tenderness when you wanna!

Quarter Pound set

These pickups brought my telecaster sound to a whole new level. The neck pickup has a much fuller sound to it. The bridge pickup is pretty hot; certainly much hotter than stock. My only complaint is, of course, the 60 cycle hum. I know it just comes with the territory but it's still a little disappointing. I simply roll back my tone and a little on my volume and that makes it much more subtle. I'm definitely knocking out some nice tones with these pickups! Thanks again Sweetwater.
