Well worth the trade-off in battery life

What is the trade-off? Excellent tone with no noticeable latency.
I've been wireless since the mid 80's and have tried most units on the market at one time or another, but this one is different.
I originally gave it a shot because it doesn't require a body pack and also because of the Sennheiser name. I knew going in there would be a trade-off in battery life and accepted it right off the bat.
The XSW-D is the only wireless I've ever owned that automatically self-adjusts for the hot signal coming from the active on-board electronics on my Status bass. It's liberating to be able to crank my bass up and yet not overpower the circuitry in the XSW-D like it did others. The Shure GLXD had a manual cut setting on the receiver, but the Sennheiser is automatic. As others have stated, it's like playing with a cord. Stunning sound quality.
I've always tried to be proactive in heading off possible issues, so I had a Neutrik locking jack installed because I knew any weight at all, however light, would eventually stress out the jack, especially with a lot of movement on stage night after night. My luthier also came up with a brilliant idea to keep the transmitter secure on the other end as well, as shown in the pic. I insert the transmitter at the beginning of the gig and it stays on tight until the show is over. If there's more than one set involved, I just plug the still inserted transmitter into a power brick on break. Easy peasy.
Thus, the trade-off in not having a wireless battery that will last me a whole night without recharging yet having an incredibly sounding wireless unit without the need of a bodypack makes me one happy camper.

Don't hesitate, buy it!

If you're worried about getting a wireless system or don't know what wireless system to get, this is what you want right here. Super easy to use its plug-n-play out of the box.

If you're wondering/worried why no ones talking about Latency/lag (like I was) its because there isn't any.

I haven't tested the battery life of the transmitter to its fullest, but I used it for a rehearsal straight into a gig no charge in between, play time was 3hrs 10mins.

If you get a second transmitter, Sweetwater has videos linked in the page to pair your devices together and your good to go.

Sounds great. Battery not so great. Jack came loose at some point.

I bought this as an upgrade from the Line6 wireless because the micro usb port broke and I couldn't keep it powered. The Sennheiser sounds really great. The receiver is nice and heavy duty and I love the barrel power supply and the usb-C Transmitter charging port. I don' use it, but I like the XLR out in addition to the 1/4in jack.

Transmitter charge does not last as long as the Line6. Says up to 5 hours. I've gotten to about 3 hours if I'm lucky. I also liked it because it had the 90degree built in. I needed a 90 degree adapter with the Line6. However, after some time, the fit of the jack came loose from the body. Not quite sure how to explain it better. Basically it no longer holds the 90 degrees in place. It just flops around so now I basically have a straight jack again. I gave this 4 stars because I know not everyone needs 5hrs of battery life. I do though. I'm in a cover band that plays up to 4hrs at a time, so I miss just needing one transmitter all night. It is definitely an upgrade from the Line6. I am considering getting the instrument base set so I have a backup to compensate for the battery life and to preserve the jack tightness.

The perfect wireless system.

This thing has been perfect for me since the day I got it. It works perfectly at home and practice with no interference. I recently played my first show with it at a decent sized venue. During soundchecks, another band was having a lot of issues with their wireless systems picking up frequencies from whatever else was in the area. I had no issues whatsoever with mine. This thing is the best!
