The EXP45 string set appeared on our recommended list for Medium / Normal Tension Classical Guitar Strings from August 2020 until November 2020 when they were removed due to a lack of availability.
Overview
Some guitarists prefer strings that aren't necessarily bright but have the "fresh from the pack" tone a little longer.
D'addario EXP45 strings have the bass strings treated with the company's proprietary EXP coating to prolong the "new string" tone.
If you prefer a bright tone that accentuates the attack and retains the character longer than uncoated strings, the EXP45 is the pack for you.
