Seismic Audio - SADIYG-16

The Seismic Audio SADIYG-16 guitar kit is based on the iconic Warlock guitar shape that's popularly used in heavy metal music.

In addition to its distinctly shaped basswood body, another standout feature of the SADIYG-16 kit is the inclusion of a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles. This bridge allows for more expressive guitar playing, but it is a bit harder to setup and maintain.

The kit is already pre-drilled and bundled with all the required parts, including adjustment hex wrenches for the truss rod and Floyd Rose tremolo, and it even comes with solder and a guitar cable, so all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and a soldering iron for complete assembly.

Being a heavy metal style guitar, black would be the most popular finish choice, but you can of course apply whichever color or design you prefer.

Features:

  • Building Difficulty: 7/10
  • Body: Warlock Style
  • Tonewood: Basswood
  • Neck: Bolt-on Maple
  • Fingerboard: Rosewood with Pearloid Dot Inlays
  • Pickups: Two Humbuckers (Black)
  • Special Hardware: Floyd Rose Tremolo Bridge with Adjustable Saddles
  • Controls: 3-Way Pickup Switch, Volume Knob, Tone Knob

Those who built their own Seismic Audio SADIYG-16 have a lot of good things to say, with some even noting that the kit exceeded their expectations. Wood quality was commended, specifically how they don't require much sanding.

There were a few who were not too happy with some of the hardware components, like the 3-way switch, but were still happy with the resulting guitar.

This DIY guitar kit is highly recommend for metal heads and fans of the Warlock shape.
