The Seymour Duncan Seth Lover gives you a smooth and warm tone, but it’s also a very articulate pickup. This vintage voicing makes it perfect for early genres of rock and blues, and depending on your amp and guitar you can also get great jazzy clean tones. The only thing this pickup really isn’t meant to handle is high levels of gain.

However, something to be aware of is that these pickups are not potted. Most modern pickups are potted, which is a way to isolate pickups from outside vibrations. Potting pickups helps to keep them from producing microphonic feedback, which is a high-pitched feedback. However, this is only a problem as pickups age (or if you’re playing at very loud volumes).
