Overview

MXL knows how to combine useful features with affordable production, resulting in good quality affordable microphones.

The MXL 3000 is a great example, with its large 25mm gold-sputtered capsule that is designed for miking vocals and instruments alike.

Working in conjunction with its built-in FET preamp and transformer coupled output, this mic is capable of replicating the warmth of old recording without the bloated price tag that others usually ask for.

Its warm tone is especially useful when you want to tone down overly bright vocals and acoustic instruments.

It also helps that that mic's exterior feels solid and is easy on the eyes.
