The 83CB appeared on our recommended list for Guitar Capos from our first edition in June 2017 until September 2020 when it was replaced due to being out-ranked by other capos.
Overview
The Dunlop 83CB is a great fit for younger musicians or those suffering from arthritis because it has a padded handle and an ergonomic shape. This helps to make the capo easier to position because you get more leverage when using it and the padded handle helps to reduce strain on your hand.
If you're looking for a brand-name capo with a clamping pressure that's not too strong, the 83CB is a great choice.
