Seymour Duncan SH-6 Mayhem Humbucker Pickup Set
Street Price:
Manufacturer:

The Seymour Duncan Mayhem Humbucker set consists of matched SH-6 Duncan Distortion pickups.
Meant to kick tube amps into saturation, the Duncan Distortion is a high output wind with a large ceramic magnet.
An accentuated high midrange and treble gives a strong pick attack while a broad but tight lower midrange gives heavy palm mutes, staccato riffing, and fast tremolo picking a bold and assertive sound.
Ola Englund of Feared made his early amp demo videos with Duncan Distortion equipped guitars.

Pros
Users that put them into their guitars experienced a noticeable upgrade. Many guitars come stock with middle-of-the-road pickups, one said. Putting the SH-6 Mayhem set into their guitars, several users noted that they felt the guitar come alive and have the right amount of aggression, clarity, and weight for all kinds of metal tones.
Cons
Some wished that the neck pickup wasn't as aggressive. They couldn't get a clean tone without lowering the pickup.
Overall
The Mayhem set is not for the faint of heart. If all you want is a balls-to-the-wall metal tone, this is the set to go for.
